Hike the height of Ben Nevis

Medal Information

Ascent Medals

All of our medals are created to order, and we only use recovered wood to make them – maybe from an old pallet, or a wardrobe that was destined for the skip. As such, each and every medal is different and unique, and where possible we’ll let you know the origin of the wood when we send it out to you.

££1 of each entry fee will be donated.
“We are a conservation charity dedicated to the experience, protection and repair of wild places.”The John Muir Trust are custodians of wild lands in England and Scotland, and a lot of their efforts go into maintaining the paths used by hikers and hillwalkers.

Hike the height of Ben Nevis

An ancient volcano, Britain’s tallest mountain stands at 1345 metres.

Earn yourself a terrific, unique eco-friendly medal and donate to charity at the same time. All you have to do is complete 1345 metres of total ascent over the course of the month. Most fitness tracker apps that you can download to your phone include the functionality to record ascent, so it should be easy to track. Please see our How To guide for tracking your hikes.

If you’re not lucky enough to live near the Ben, you can get your metres in by finding a local hill and incorporating that into your walks. Of course, you don’t have to do all 1345 metres in one go – spread it out through the month, especially if you are new to hiking.
